As a designer, I firmly believe that art is, has been, and will continue to be the most common universal language.
Growing up as a child, I had experienced the frustration of the language barrier when I moved to Japan from the States and vice versa. I understood what people said, but was not able to express myself verbally. Having difficulties communicating with others made me feel isolated as if I am not part of the community. 
Art was the perfect tool for me to overcome the language barrier, share my emotions with others, and even gain self-esteem. At first, I enjoyed visiting art museums just because I was amazed at the techniques and beauty. After taking an art history class in college, I realized that I was obsessed with art because it allows me to receive the artist's message by imagining their thoughts, which is another way of communication, regardless of if my interpretation is right or wrong.
I want to encourage anyone who sees my works and cheer them up even a little like I was excited at beautiful artworks and designs that gave me something to focus on and become more lively. 
I will make my world more interesting to reach out to people who have the same experience as I did.
